Michael Kiske did a very interesting interview with the webzine La Crítica Musical, after the show Unisonic at La Riviera, Madrid.
About Unisonic’s second album:
Kiske: “We want to finish a new album for the next year. Also we must keep in mind that before the first album we had not played live, so now after this tour I’m sure the new album will be much better. We have now more band quality, we know how we sound on the stage. I would be really surprised if the next album is not stronger, like a band.”
He also commented about his return to the scene:
Kiske: “Since I was 17 years out of the scene… in any other musical scene you would be history. In other scenes you only stay for 2-3 years and after that they forget you, but in this scene it doesn’t work like that and I’m grateful and I’m really enjoying it, it’s like healing injuries.”
About preparing something special for these shows?
Kiske: No, I’m not the only one in the band, I do not like the preparation, trying to design movements. We had some fights about it because they think it should be the case, but I do not like it. I like spontaneous things, even with using the legs, it can be entertaining. I don’t think the public should have a perfect show – they want to be entertained, no matter what happens, you are yourself. Kai is more for me, due to years of Helloween, but everyone has a different opinion, but I do not care, I do not prepare, except singing, of course.
Michael said about his new soloalbum:
Kiske: “I will be doing a new solo album with a friend of mine (Sandro Giampietro), This new album will have two songs of Elvis Presley on it and one could be an acoustic track.”

TNT Radio Rock broadcasted on October 17th, in the program “La Mirada Negra” an interview with Kai Hansen recorded in Madrid after the show at La Riviera, same like Kiske’s interview.
Kai did a nice statement:
Kai Hansen: “There is one thing that always nags me. I hate it when Unisonic plays a song I wrote for Helloween, and people write ‘Helloween cover version’, it’s not a fucking cover version, it is an original!”
Here are some excerpts of Metal Maniac magazine (Italian) on issue 2012-03 (March) where Unisonic (official) have their space.
How was formed Unisonic?
Kiske: bla bla bla (everybody knows how) bla bla bla… … the first option was me joining Gamma Ray but I don’t think I would be the right person…
Kiske: “Because the music is too heavy for me. also I don’t like the idea of singing stuff of other person, Gamma fans are used to hear other singer for so long. I don’t want to make that, even that there was an option I would not join in Iron Maiden for the same reason. It’s much better to start since the beginning with a new band.
Kiske: “The first Unisonic album it was a ‘test bench’ which is needed to find our style, remarking what it works and deleting what it doesn’t work. Without that, we could not upgrade as band.” Click to continue reading

The journey till the Birth of the band UNISONIC and how they found the last “piece” of the puzzle
Kai Hansen joins in!! The full interview of the dashing new band!
Michael Kiske appeared on the stage last December as a vocalist for the tour “AVANTASIA” after a long 17 year pause. It must have been very difficult for young fans who have not seen the HELLOWEEN in the past to understand how the older fans listened to the 2 albums from “KEEPERS OF THE SEVEN KEYS”, Kiske’s amazing vocal skills, and the recent concerts at the “PLACE VENDOME”. This is why it is expected that the new band UNISONIC, which was united in November 2009 by members Michael Kiske(vo), Dennis Ward (b), Mandy Meyer (g), Kosta Zafiriou (ds) is going to create a new wave through the young fans and the union of their old friend Kai Hansen (g/ GAMMA RAY) will only bring in further glory to this band. A small new interview with Unisonic guitarist Mandy Meyer from 28. July 2011. It has been done with www.freierschweizer.ch a Swiss local newspaper.
First Unisonic album will soon be released
After Gotthard and Krokus, it seems to have become quiet around the Küssnachter guitarist Mandy Meyer. But this is not so. He is still spreading loud sounds. “Unisonic, Katmandu, Krokus and guitar lessons,” Mandy Meyer summarizes his current activities together.” Guitar lessons? Only few people know, but I actually give guitar lessons.” Also Krokus should be discussed. 2008 Meyer left the band after four years. But more on this issue later.
